Microneedling-Therapy

Application: This method is effective for reducing acne scars, general scars, fine lines, and wrinkles. It also treats pigmentation issues on the face, neck, and décolleté, refines pores, and diminishes the appearance of stretch marks.

Treatment duration: Each session lasts between 30 and 60 minutes.

Recommended sessions: For optimal results, 3 to 6 sessions are recommended.

Aftercare: Proper skincare and sun protection are important.

Results: Improvements are typically visible after 3 to 6 months.

Microneedling Therapy (percutaneous collagen stimulation), also known as “Dermapuncture,” uses fine needles to create tiny injuries on the skin. This stimulates the skin’s detoxification processes and promotes the production of hyaluronic acid and collagen. The method is suitable for almost all skin types and can be used to improve, tighten, smooth, and rejuvenate the skin on the entire body.

Applications: Microneedling therapy offers a variety of applications for treating wrinkles, enlarged pores, pigmentation disorders, stretch marks, scars, age-related skin changes, and hair loss. It can be effectively applied on the face, neck, décolleté, scalp, as well as thighs and buttocks.

Functioning of Microneedling Therapy: The procedure stimulates the skin to produce growth factors, supports the skin’s natural healing processes, promotes the formation of new hyaluronic acid and collagen, and improves blood circulation. This strengthens the connective tissue and significantly increases skin elasticity. Enhanced absorption of skincare products after treatment can maximize the effects, leading to a visibly noticeable improvement in skin quality.

Before treatment: Each client receives a thorough consultation discussing treatment options, potential risks, and side effects. Individual therapy goals are determined, and the current skin condition is documented.

Contraindications for Microneedling Therapy:

  • Acute skin infections such as herpes in the treatment area.
  • Open wounds or pronounced skin irritations.
  • Immediately after aesthetic or other surgical procedures.
  • Taking blood-thinning medications.
  • Coagulation disorders or tendency to keloid formation.
  • During the treatment: The procedure is outpatient and lasts 60 to 90 minutes depending on the treatment goal. After thorough cleansing and disinfection of the skin, micro-injuries are created using a dermaroller or similar device. Individually tailored active serums are then applied to support regeneration. A soothing mask is used to relieve any irritations.
  • After the treatment: Immediately afterward, redness and swelling may occur, but these usually subside quickly. It is important to protect the skin from sunlight and avoid irritating substances to ensure optimal healing.
  • Aftercare for Microneedling Therapy:
  • Avoid strenuous physical activity and sauna visits on the day of treatment.
  • Do not use irritating skincare products in the following days.
  • Avoid sunbeds for several weeks after treatment.
  • Consistently protect your skin with a high SPF sunscreen in the following weeks to shield it from UV radiation.
  • Possible side effects after treatment: These may include mild burns in the treatment area, swelling, and redness. Occasionally, with deeper treatments.

Potential side effects after treatment: Following microneedling therapy, mild burning sensations in the treated area, swelling, and redness may occur. In some cases, there may be oozing or crusting of the skin, especially with deeper treatments, but these typically heal within a few days. Pigment shifts are possible, including lightening (hypopigmentation) or darkening (hyperpigmentation), particularly in darker skin types, although such reactions are rare. Infections and scarring are extremely rare.

Treatment repetition: Microneedling therapy is typically performed in a cycle of 3 to 4 sessions spaced two weeks apart. After completing this initial cycle, the results are evaluated. Based on this evaluation and in consultation with the healthcare professional, it is decided whether further sessions are necessary to achieve the desired results.

Results of microneedling: The positive effects of microneedling may be noticeable after the first session. With each additional treatment and ongoing healing, skin quality significantly improves, leading to a more vital, denser, and well-maintained complexion. Successful treatments can reduce skin imperfections such as wrinkles, pigmentation spots, and scars. The skin appears fresher and more youthful, supported by improved blood circulation.

Comprehensive skincare following microneedling not only promotes rapid and effective healing but also contributes to long-term radiant and healthy-looking skin.
